Community Computer Lab
Community technology
Exploring the intersection of open technology, digital fabrication, and human agency.
Elements of this hub
IT & Computer Science
Fundamentals: how computers, networks and code actually work, learned by building and breaking things.
Hacking Ethic & Culture
Curiosity, openness, sharing what you learn, and fixing what is broken. Technology as something you shape rather than consume.
Decentralisation & Distributed Ledger Technology
How systems can run without a centre. Blockchains and peer-to-peer tools explored as ideas about trust and coordination, not just software.
Cryptoeconomics
The incentives that hold decentralised systems together, and what they might mean for a community that wants to organise itself differently.
Artificial Intelligence & Robotics
Working with the tools of our time: machine learning, automation and robotics, approached with both curiosity and care.
Environmental Sustainability
Technology in service of the land: monitoring, energy, water and the question of what a low-impact digital life looks like.
